Ocean Casino Resort, formerly known as Ocean Resort Casino, launched its gambling site in July 2018, becoming the 18th NJ online casino. NJ gambling websites now number almost two dozen.

Ocean Casino is the new name of the mega-resort in Atlantic City that used to be Revel, and then was TEN.
Set at the end of the Boardwalk, the casino is the tallest building in AC and one of the largest. In early 2018, AC Oceanwalk bought the property and renamed it. It was immediately given a new name and a scheduled opening date of summer 2018.
Ocean also quickly announced a partnership with software developer GAN in January 2018 in preparation to launch its online casino.
Finally, on June 28, the property that came to symbolize the AC casino decline officially re-opened its doors.
Marketing, promotions, and rewards at Ocean Resort online
Ocean Resort describes their online welcome offer as “the biggest welcome bonus in New Jersey,” with a no-deposit bonus of up to $125, and a huge $10,000 offered for first-time depositors.
The no-deposit bonus is segmented into seven 24-hour periods — five days of $10 bonuses and two days of $25. An additional $25 bonus is only for use at the physical New Jersey casino. For online casino players, this bonus is therefore only worth $100.
You unlock the next day’s bonus by wagering the previous day’s bonus total. The wagering requirement for this is 30x on each segment.
For example, if you played three days in a row and received $30 in bonus money, you would then have to wager $900 (or $30 x 30) to complete the offer before you could withdraw any winnings. You need to play consecutive days to continue earning bonus money, so if you stop playing for 24 hours the promotion will finish.
The second bonus is the bigger one, weighing in at a possible $10,000 over 10 days. Deposit $10 or more each day to trigger each bonus and unlock the next day’s deposit bonus. These deposit match offers increase in scale each day, as follows:

- Bonus 2: 100% up to $200

This bonus also has a 30x playthrough requirement, which means you must wager as much as $75,000 if you take advantage of the full offer. However, if you only deposit the $10 minimum each day, your bonus will be worth $200 and have a $6,000 requirement.
Both bonuses have three other conditions attached. Low or no-risk bets, such as odd-even on roulette, and bets of more than $3 do not count toward the wagering requirement.
Secondly, like many NJ online casinos, different Ocean Online Casino games contribute a different percentage to your wagering requirements:

Ocean Casino Resort mobile app
Unfortunately, Ocean’s online casino does not, as of yet, offer a dedicated casino application for smartphones or tablets.
It still has an optimized mobile site that can be accessed from your device’s browser. Often, these browser-based solutions can be more forgiving to owners of older devices. This is because applications often require a modern version of a given operating system to download them.
This is rarely a problem with mobile browser-based casinos, and it isn’t an issue with Ocean Casino.
Mobile features
Its mobile offering worked well on both the Android and iOS devices we tested it on.
The menus were still easy to navigate on a touchscreen, and all the features worked smoothly and quickly. However, the visually pleasing photo background of the main casino site was replaced with a monotone backdrop, and some of the impressively animated menu transitions have also been dropped.
Mobile games
About 50 percent of Ocean Casino’s slots games are not available on the mobile site. All its other table games and video poker titles are present — except the baccarat table, which is dropped in favor of an extra roulette table.

Visa, Mastercard, and ACH are the most straightforward methods, but you may run into problems with your particular bank if they do not accept online gambling transactions. We asked customer service to provide this information, but we did not receive a clear response. Through our own independent research, we found that PayNearMe cards do come with a $500 daily limit for gambling transactions.
Withdrawal options
The same five deposit options are also available for withdrawal at Ocean Casino. We could not find any information on withdrawal limits, except the $10 minimum, even after asking customer service.
We did find the casino aims to process all withdrawal requests within 24 hours. This does not include time spent verifying your information for know your customer (KYC) purposes. This may require you to submit photographs of your proof-of-address or identity documents before you make your first withdrawal, which may take some time.
Once the money is on your prepaid card or in your PayNearMe account, you can withdraw it instantly from participating retailers. Visa or Mastercard customers may have to wait for an extra one to three days.

If you can get there, withdrawing from the physical casino cage may be the fastest method. This goes for first-time withdrawals especially, since you can bring your identity documents with you and avoid the back-and-forth emails and photo uploading. Ocean Casino does not specify the live chat or phone line operating times. Email help is available 24/7. Its live chat agents were helpful and efficient. This is especially so compared to the email response team, who did not satisfactorily respond to our queries — even after several attempts.
